A body in jute biocomposite
A three wheeled electric vehicle with roof and rear section in jute fibre, developed with support from Vinnova.
Juteborg develops high technology solutions in jute fibre. Together with Clean Motion the idea was born to build a Zbee with a roof and rear section in JuteTech, a specially developed jute fabric.
Clean Motion contacted us as the composite specialists behind the Zbee glass fibre body. With part funding from Vinnova a team was assembled to realise the idea.
It was the first time we worked with jute, but most of our processes were the same. The jute gives the body an even finish and a natural aesthetic while meeting the same strength and weight requirements as the standard Zbee.
The JutebeeTM was presented at Lindholmen Science Park in January 2019.
It was very interesting to us because of the social responsibility aspect. Contributing to the development of the country and in particular improving opportunities for Bangladeshi women was an exciting aspect for us.
